Physical Therapy

Dean Black:

I loved that the therapists listen to my concerns and were able to personalize my sons treatment as well as give me into that could help us at home. Therapy has always been something my son has looked forward to BPHT.

Mary Black (mom of Dean):

My son has grown so much since he started physical therapy with Shannon. He has become more aware of his body and how it works. He has gained control and confidence.

Parent of Aubrie:

Aubrie is now 11 months old, but when she started with Shannon she wasn’t quite 10 months old. She has a twin sister. When we were referred to Bothell Pediatric and Hand Therapy Aubrie was quickly falling behind in achieving her milestones…. After about 8 visits with Shannon, Aubrie is now back on track. She sits up on her own, crawls and stands on her own. She is working on trying to walk.

Sohum Kolharkae:

Sohum started his physical therapy at BP&HT when he was 14 months old. We were getting help in developing Sohum’s physical and motor skills. He used to roll, it was his primary mode to move around. To start crawling was the first major goal for him. We got a lot of help from therapy since…Continue Reading »

Mom, Emily Dyer-Keating:

The last few months and especially the last 2 weeks my family and I have seen a big growth in Andrew….. Last Friday I took him to a restaurant, that had no kids menu, with a friend, and you would not have known their was a kid there. He was still for the most part and talked in a normal voice.

Sherrie Jimenez:

Crowds and sounds were becoming increasingly overwhelming for her, resulting in a lot of meltdowns and tantrums followed by withdrawal…. After several months of therapy, she is doing amazing. We’ve learned techniques to use in everyday situations to cope and help her be succesful in group and social situations.

Robin has progressed from a point of being a full grade behind in reading and writing skills, to reading above grade level. Her legibility has improved 100% and she is now bale to get her thoughts down on paper quickly. Her improvements have impressed her teachers so much that she no requires a supplemental reading program.

Parent of, Christopher Price:

The knowledge and skill of the therapist in child development – recognizing he skipped crawling based on his intake exam was the first sign to me that she really knows her stuff! It might be look like playtime but she is definitely a therapist! Thank you so much for helping out
